This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Peterborough based Client.

We are looking for a suitably qualified individual with specialist knowledge of Information Governance legislation including Data Protection Act 2018, the UK GDPR and Freedom of InformationAct 2000.


Main Responsibilities

  • Managing all centrally received requests under the data protection and freedom of information regulations and providing support and advice.
  • Reviewing and maintaining data protection impact assessments.
  • Assist with updating policies, training materials and data sharing agreements.
  • Coordinating staff data protection training.
  • Maintaining the Group's information governance databases.
  • Input into the production of compliance reports and maintenance of the information governance risk register.

Experience and qualifications:


  • At least 3 years' experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of Freedom of Information and Data Protection legislation.
  • Relevant certification in data privacy.
  • An understanding of risk management principles.

  • Motivated, energetic, determined and have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in interacting with colleagues and following matters through to conclusion.
  • Resilient, able to work at high pace in a changing environment.
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Teams, PowerPoint & Word and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

Hours of work
37.5 per week, two days in the Peterborough office and three days a week from home. There may be occasional travel.
