Teaching Assistant - SEN School

Are you a Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with complex learning needs? Do you enjoy making school a fun, safe and nurturing environment for children? The Education Network is working with a fantastic Special Educational Needs school,who are looking to add an experienced Teaching Assistant to the team.

You will be supporting small classes of children with a range of complex needs, this school caters for children from Key Stage - Key Stage 4.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be working closely with teaching and support staff to ensure that the needs of children that you support are met.

This friendly team are passionate about making the school a safe, nurturing and fun place to be for all children.

Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs is essential for this role, and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.


Job Role:

  • Providing classroom support for the teacher, and delivering 121 engagement sessions
  • Working on a 121 basis to ensure the child gets the most out of lessons
  • Breaking down academic and social barriers
  • Working with a team of teaching Assistants to make sure school is a fun and safe place to be
  • Working with the SENCO to implement an action plan for the child
