Description

Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
Perform pretrip and posttrip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, including maintaining a safe following distance and obeying speed limits
Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines
Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation

Requirements:

Valid commercial driver's license with appropriate endorsements
Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with experience in flatbed or delivery driving
Ability to safely operate and maneuver large vehicles in various weather conditions and terrains
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo, including lifting heavy objects
