Salary: The starting salary is £51,196, which includes allowances totalling £2,841.
The salary is broken down as £48,355 basic salary, which will increase annually until you reach the top of the scale £52,730. Plus, a location allowance of £1,841 and a non-pensionable allowance of £1,000.

As our Lead Government Department Liaison Officer, you'll be at the forefront of Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), advising Government Departments and public bodies.
In this crucial role, you'll be part of a small unit that's part of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO).
Your main task will be to liaise with lead government departments and arms-length bodies to maximise protection at venues and public spaces in the UK.
Day to day, you'll help these organisations conduct CT Protective Security and Preparedness assessments while engaging with them to develop CT awareness advice through products and policy delivery.
Assessments and advice must be holistic, proportionate and prioritised according to the type of threat (physical or cyber, for example).

Job Summary
The post holder will work within a small unit, liaising with lead government departments and arms-length bodies to conduct CT Protective Security and Preparedness assessments and develop and deliver CT awareness advice through products and policy delivery in line with NaCTSO requirements, to help secure government business from impacting on terrorism and extremism.
Assessments and advice will be holistic, proportionate and prioritised addressing a wide range of threat themes including physical, personnel, cyber and others.
The post will also complete other tasks and support tasks consistent with the role as and when required by NaCTSO.
Key Tasks
The post holder will be required to do the following:
- Work closely with LGDs and other partners to complete CT P&P assessments to national standards and influence implementation of the recommendations made to Lead Government Departments and their associated assets to ensure they comply with national legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide appropriate and proportionate personal security advice for LGDs as and when required.
- Arrange and undertake CT awareness delivery of national products to LGDs that are developed and directed by NaCTSO.
- Complete tasks that are consistent with the CTSA role, grade and funding, as required by legislative requirement, national or NaCTSO tasking.
- Prioritise tasks (National, Regional, Force), signposting where appropriate, to all other relevant stakeholders and websites, as directed by NaCTSO.
- Liaise with key stakeholders across LGDs to maximise delivery, including representatives from industry, government and emergency services.
- Represent NaCTSO, in relation to CTSA and CT Protective Security activity, when required.
- Maintain competence as a CTSA, including compliance of national accreditation policy, maintaining a good working knowledge of role specific legislative procedures, national policy and tactical options to advise internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of groups, attack methodologies and current affairs relating to terrorism and extremism.
- Complete maintain and submit, accurate and timely reports and Management Information as required for CT performance and CT Programme reviews.
- Once occupationally competent, conduct peer reviews of surveys of CTSAs who are working to achieve their own Occupational Competence as required.
- If identified by NaCTSO, perform the role of NaCTSO Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) of survey submissions by CTSAs seeking Occupational Competence and CTSAs maintaining their Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
