Description
A Support Medical Secretary is an essential and very important role. To provide admin/secretarial support to the Blood, Stem Cell and Cancer (BSC) team of consultant and nursing team.

This role assists the consultant, nursing team and secretaries in providing an excellent patient pathway taking the patient from referral to treatment.


  • Inputting nursing waiting lists on a daily basis but no managing them
  • Maintaining and managing a nurse-led clinic
  • Taking part in stock count and control with Haemophilia data manager. This includes data entry of figures and numbers
  • Imputing of procedural data into treatment register and prescription for Haemophilia and SCT.
  • Manual registration of patients of various specialties databases or PAS
  • Handling queries and paperwork regarding home delivery service
