Executive Assistant to Chief Executive Officer - Part-time

Looking for a highly skilled and emotionally intelligent Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive and personalised support to our CEO.


We're a commercial spin-out of the University of Cambridge, and a cofounder of the Regulatory Genome Project which is collaborating with regulators in the digitalisation of regulation.


After a successful seed funding round of £4.7m in March 2022, we are now completing a ~£5.5m convertible note round to drive revenue growth with commercial partners and now is an exciting time to join our journey as we continue to build our world-leading regulatory information repository.

About Robert Wardrop (Bob)


Bob led the spin-out of Regulatory Genome Development Ltd (RegGenome) from the University, and brings extensive experience in venture development and regulatory innovation to his role as CEO.

He is a Management Professor of Finance on the faculty of the Cambridge Judge Business School, where he co-founded the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance and as its Director has led it to become a globally-recognised leading authority on the impact of fintech on financial markets.

Bob developed its flagship Cambridge Fintech & Regulatory Innovation programme for financial services regulators and policy makers, which since 2019 has trained more than 1,300 regulators and policy makers from 300 organisations in 140 countries.


Prior to pursuing his academic career in 2010, Bob had an international career as a professional investor, most recently as a Managing Director in the investment group of one of the largest privately-owned companies in the United States where he was responsible for a portfolio of European corporate debt and equity investments.

He has held several board directorships and advisory roles with academic, governmental and commercial organisations over the course of both his academic and non-academic career.

He is currently a member of the Advisory Council of the Central Bank of Mauritius and has been a member of the International Technology Advisory Panel of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

He held non-executive director roles with Plat.
One, acquired by SAP in 2016, and Clarity Health Services acquired by SCI in 2015.


Bob holds a PhD from Cambridge, MBA from Chicago Booth and MSc from the London School of Economics, and BCom from Queens University.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks, providing robust support to the CEO, such as managing their calendar and ensuring they remain focused on priority tasks.
  • Creating "white space" in senior calendars to consider future opportunities.
  • Making sure everyone feels prepared and coordination between internal and external stakeholders for important meetings.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the CEO and internal staff members as well as external parties, fostering effective and getting the best available information in the hands of the right people quickly.
  • Holding everyone, especially the CEO to account for follow through and completion of actions and delivery of information in a timely manner.
  • Actively participate in meetings alongside the CEO, ensuring meticulous documentation and followup of action items.
  • Enhance the productivity of CEO's meetings by preparing materials, coordinating inputs, and monitoring progress on action items.
  • Manage CEO diary and arrange travel itineraries that align with personal preferences and meeting requirements.
  • Support in the planning, organising, and coordination of various meetings and events, ensuring seamless execution and attention to detail.
  • Operating at the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Using initiative to rapidly resolve general issues and queries in an efficient manner
  • Supporting Head of People with Business and HR administration and people support.

About you:


  • Significant experience in an executive assistant or similar role, preferably in a highpaced, dynamic environment, preferably in a Tech or startup context.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, with an innate ability to understand, anticipate, and respond to the CEO's needs.
  • Excellent written, communication, logical thinking, and problemsolving skills.
  • Highly motivated with excellent organisational skills, capable of juggling multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Resilient, proactive, and detailoriented with a positive attitude.
  • Skilled in minutetaking and reviewing executive materials.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in multitasking, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain a holistic view.
  • Warm and professional manner, adept at dealing with diverse cultures across different time zones.

What we offer

  • 4 hours per day Monday to Friday (20 ours per week)
  • Salary £3036,000 per annum pro rata
  • Ample opportunity to gr
