MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE


The Warehouse Agent objectives are to ensure we provide a service that meets all our customer requirements, whilst following all security and safety regulations.

Working in a time sensitive environment, dealing with multiple customers, and meeting all the deadlines. The person must have effective communication skills and be able to perform security tasks as required by CAA.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • To load and off-load freight from and onto vehicles.
  • To place and retrieve freight in and from appropriate storage areas.
  • To build cargo onto aircraft units following airline specifications.
  • Forklift truck driving.
  • To use approved screening methods to make cargo and airport goods secure following strict aviation security regulations.
  • To comply with the company's Health and Safety Policy and to be fully aware and adhere to the responsibilities as outlined in the policy.
  • To complete documentation to record details and movement of goods.
  • To complete necessary checks on Imports/Exports and airport supplies to make sure the company and its customer's requirements are being met.
  • To complete the necessary reports required by the company and its customers.
  • To be able to work flexible working hours when necessary.
  • Always maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
  • To carry out any other tasks deemed necessary and reasonable by the company.

SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In any role at WFS, employees are the eyes and ears of the business and must report any security concerns or suspicious behaviour.
  • Ensure site access control is protected and no unescorted visitors are on site.
  • Ensure the security integrity of cargo is always protected.
  • Ensure all security documentation is fully compliant.

  • Dealing with customers and queries in a professional and timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Flexible to work on various shifts and holidays.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team.
  • You will own a full driving license.
  • Previous experience of working in an aviation environment.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Work under pressure.
  • Ability to accept responsibility.
  • Motivated and hardworking.
  • Forklift experience essential
  • The role involves manual handing of heavy goods.
