Müller Yogurt & Desserts which is the UK's leading yogurt manufacturer which aims to create millions more Müller moments for its consumers.
It is responsible for major brands like Müller Corner, Müllerlight, Müller Bliss, Müller Rice, FRijj and Müller Kefir Smoothie and produces chilled desserts under licence from Mondelez International.
It also supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated, state of the art yogurt facility.
Müller Yogurt and Desserts are recruiting for a Business Unit Head - Private Label, based at their offices in Telford, Shropshire.
As part of the Sales Leadership Team; to shape and support the wider delivery of the MYD commercial/customer strategy in association with peers across brand and private label customer business units.
To be seen as a role model (leader) and to lead in SLT people leadership topics so enhancing the overall performance of the Private Label Commercial Team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the key commercial targets as defined in the annual and strategic plan process. (Value net sales, CM1, EBIT, cost savings, forecasting
- Embed a high performing culture within the Private Label BU through effective coaching of others, your teams development and managing performance. Embrace and act on feedback. Ensure excellence in back of house compliance and customer project leadership. Live and champion our 3 core values (Bold, Accountable, Together).Engage in forums to improve ways of working/team working.
- As a leader in the private label commercial team; help shape the overall commercial strategy. Shape and deliver goals across functional departmental peers.
- Translation of the MYD strategic plan into a strategic, long term customer & category growth plan; maximise Muller financial and customer metrics.
- Lead cross functional MYD teams to engage customers on commercial, supply chain, technical, consumer, shopper, product and category topics with your business unit customer.
- Build and maintain a winning customer relationship (measured through feedback and/or Advantage survey).
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven commercial leader with proven track record operating at senior level FMCG (Food Industry).
- Private Label experienced. Ideally strong brand experience. Managing complex P&L and commercial mechanisms (incl Revenue Growth Management/ customer portfolio management). (Advanced)
- Selling & negotiation (Advanced)
- Joint Business Strategic Planning (Advanced) Commercial compliance
- GSCOP/CMA (Advanced) Category insight to action (Advanced)
- Shopper marketing (intermediate) Project/stakeholder Management (Advanced) Networking and influencing senior levels (Advanced)
- Dairy category experience desirable as is S&OP experience
