Lead Buyer / Buyer / Purchasing


Our client, a well-established, superb family run organisation with an excellent trading history is urgently seeking a Buyer to join their busy purchasing team on a permanent basis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new relationships.
  • Working closely with the Quality Manager, monitoring and improving supplier quality and supplier performance.
  • Reporting monthly targets and KPI's specifically Accuracy and Supplier defects

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of standard procurement and Stock control processes.
  • Experience of Supplier/Contract negotiation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • ICT skills
  • Excel, MRP and ERP
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to research and evaluate new suppliers.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Buyer.
