Lead Buyer / Buyer / Purchasing
Our client, a well-established, superb family run organisation with an excellent trading history is urgently seeking a Buyer to join their busy purchasing team on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate prices.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new relationships.
- Working closely with the Quality Manager, monitoring and improving supplier quality and supplier performance.
- Reporting monthly targets and KPI's specifically Accuracy and Supplier defects
Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of standard procurement and Stock control processes.
- Experience of Supplier/Contract negotiation
- Excellent communication skills
- ICT skills
- Excel, MRP and ERP
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to research and evaluate new suppliers.
- At least 3 years' experience as a Buyer.
