This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of building motorcycle engines, powertrains and whole motorcycles from the ground up to work on developing and testing the next generation of products for a well known motorcycle manufacturer


You will get the chance to use your skills & knowledge to develop prototype motorcycles for a prestige brand with a long heritage by working with the test team and designers both in the UK and occasionally abroad.

In return the Leicestershire based office of this company will offer you a salary of circa £36,000 + benefits. Some of the benefits are unusual such as being able to borrow a Pool bike for the weekend or Advanced Rider courses


Responsibilities of the Engine Builder will be:

  • Carry out First-Time prototype builds of Engine and Chassis
  • Prepare Motorcycles for Evaluation and Testing
  • Attend Testing of Motorcycles in UK and Overseas
  • Accurately document the Engine build processes

You will be someone with:


  • Proven experience of working on the preparation and maintenance of motorcycles in a productionbased workshop environment
  • Experience with highprecision data acquisition and test equipment (preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of motorcycle chassis and engine construction
  • Ability to operate and use diagnostic scan tools, scopes, meters, and other test equipment
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organise own workload, and meet deadlines autonomously
  • Work in a teambased environment to achieve common goals
  • Strong proven technical background in Engine build
  • Experienced in maintenance and evaluation of vehicles
  • Good communicator, able to provide clear articulate explanations of
- evaluations and findings

  • Good judgement based on extensive knowledge of engine design
