Your New Role
Are you an experienced garment clothing designer who has hands on experience with the designing of garment products? Are you looking for a fresh new challenge and work for a company that designs and manufactures lifesaving equipment? Survitec has the perfect role for you


Reporting into the deputy chief designer we have an exciting opportunity to bring on board a garment designer to join our team of design specialists in our engineering department at our manufacturing site in Ellesmere Port.


You will have the opportunity to work with an established team of professional engineers, as our new garment designer you will execute and coordinate product design tasks as part of a wider design team.

Your role will develop and use your specialist design prototyping and engineering skills to deliver our products for our customers.


What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:


  • You will develop design concepts to meet business and customer requirements
  • Create and update detailed design documentations to support products in manufacturing
  • Collaborate with the commercial, production and test colleagues to deliver product excellence
  • Supporting product testing events both on and off site
  • You will carry out product and technical reviews to identify shortcomings in existing processes


Formal and real-time training for the above will be given and you will have the opportunity to develop in your role and see the direct impact of your work on the business.

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential

  • You will have a minimum of up to 2 years garment design experience
  • University degree or Equivalent in clothing
  • Experience with pattern and tailoring designing
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • You will have excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of 2D AutoCAD would be highly beneficial
  • Previous experience is desired working to process and procedures in accordance to accreditations such as ISO9001 and DAOS
