THE ROLE | PURPOSE


Working collaboratively and cross-functionally within a small team, the HR Officer is primarily accountable for supporting the delivery of a comprehensive and customer-centric HR administrative for colleagues and Line Managers throughout the entire employee lifecycle across the UK & Ireland.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING | KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


The HR Officer will play a critical role in the provision of a comprehensive HR administration service, supporting all employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employee changes, absence management, benefits administration and overseeing the leavers process.

Also critical to this role will be the accurate maintenance and oversight of all HR Information systems.


Further key responsibilities will include:

First point of contact for all HR queries received via multiple channels, e.g. HR department mailbox, in-person / telephone and MS Teams;
Ensuring a close working relationship with payroll at all times;
Supporting the absence management process, including supporting welfare meetings, absence review meetings and liasing with occupational health as required;
Supporting, when required, recriutment activity in partnership with the Resourcing Business Partner;
Oversight of the Leavers process, including the completion of face-to-face exit interviews;
Preparing necessary monthly HR reports - absence, FTE, employee head counts, turnover, exit interviews and any other reports as required;
Providing relevant assistance to compensation and benefits projects including pay review, employee of the month scheme and spot reward policy;
Providing ad-hoc support to the HR Business Partners and wider team on strategic HR projects;
Supporting with ER cases in a note-taking capacity;
Supporting in ongoing policy reviews

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY | KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Skills and Experience

Demonstrable experience in a HR administration capacity, gained within in a customer-centric, fast-paced environment;
Proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to propose effective solutions and identify & implement continuous improvements to existing ways of working;
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels, both verbally and in writing;
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and instil trust at all levels, internally and externally;
High attention to detail, with experience and confidence to work with high volumes of data; High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Excel will also therefore be critical to this position;
Experience with HRIS tools would also be a big advantage - we currently use Success Factors;
Comprehensive knowledge and awareness of current employment law legislation, enabling you to support and advise on relevant cases and queries appropriately;
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously to manage daily a varied daily workload;
Excellent working knowledge of full suite of Microsoft Office software.
