Description

It is the responsibility of our client's Software Developers to ensure they deliver well designed, scalable, and high-quality software that will delight their customers and fuel their growth.

They are an open-source software house, primarily JavaScript atpresent but migrating to Typescript with React and , utilising NoSQL solutions and cloud storage alongside containerised services (Docker and Kubernetes) to create their products.

The Software Developer should have extensive hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies, be able to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team.

You should have excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
You should lead by example in being courteous, proactive, helpful, and respectful with everyone around you.

You will need to demonstrate a history of software and web-based development and extensive JavaScript experience.

The team are close knit and focused on delivering benefit to the customer - it is vital that you are prepared to role your sleeves up and get stuck in with a view to delivering the best quality product possible on time and on budget.

An ability to take responsibility for your output is essential.

Knowledge and Experience for the Software Developer

Ability to liaise and communicate with wider business.
Experience in the following:
JavaScript
Typescript
React or Angular
HTML
CSS
Proven and extensive experience as a Software or Web Developer
Agile development methodologies
Analytical mind with problemsolving aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Facilitating builds and releases

Desirable skills for the Software Developer:

MongoDB
GraphQL
REST API's
JSON
Redis
Microservices experience and/or design knowledge
Familiarity with and experience of multiple operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
Agile process, Project Management and Jira
Mentoring of more junior team members
TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment
