1st Line Engineer

£22,000 - £26,000

We are working with an IT service and security provider, who are looking for a 1st Line Engineer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful 1st Line Engineer will provide remote, on-site, and workshop support. Completing small works and installation projects and providing excellent customer service and administration duties.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide 1st line support for incoming service requests, utilising the service desk ticketing system
  • Take ownership of support requests, ensuring they are resolved and ensure customers are always communicated to
  • Visit client sites where necessary to resolve issues, often at short notice
  • Correctly log and update tickets
  • Contribute to the creation, development, and review of procedures and policies
  • Manage and maintain the endpoint monitoring platform daily
  • Diagnose and raise hardware failures as a critical priority
  • Raise outages as a critical priority
  • Ensure accurate timesheets are always maintained

Skills/ Experience:


  • Experience working in an IT support environment covering several different areas
  • English Language to GCSE level or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft environments
  • Working knowledge of Windows server 2012/2016/2019, Windows 10/11, and Office 36
  • Working knowledge of major networking components, networking operating and basic configuration and maintenance
