An exciting
development opportunity has become available within the NHS Tayside Child Protection Team as a Nurse Advisor/Advisor Child Protection (NACP/ACP).

This is a key post working as part of NHS Tayside Child Protection Service to promote a high quality, safe and effective service to protect children and young people.

This post is a Tayside wide post covering both community and hospital settings across Tayside.

The main Child Protection Office is based in Dundee and we have other satellite bases linked to Angus and Perth & Kinross.

You will be required to assist in the delivery and evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of Child Protection training and other core duties on an ongoing basis.***Applicants will be educated to degree level and be a Registered Nurse, Midwife or AHP.

You should have substantial experience in working with children, young people and/or their families with a previous year's clinical experience of working with Child Protection/vulnerable children and families.

You will be committed to working collaboratively across professions and agencies and be able to make evidence based decisions.

Professional Child Protection knowledge acquired through degree/diploma supplemented by specialist training, experience, and short courses to master's level equivalent would be advantageous.

The Child Protection Service runs Monday to Friday, 08.30 am to 5pm. This post requires PVG Scheme.

Hours of work are: 37.5 hours per week.
