Senior Management Accountant
We are delighted to be working with an outstanding specialist service provider located in Rayleigh, Essex.


We are looking for a hardworking and dependable team player who has a positive attitude and the ability to perform well in a professional environment.

With the current Management Accountant looking to reduce hours, you will eventually take on their rolewith an extended handover before retirement.


This is a multi-faceted and challenging management accountant role within our client's accounting department, one which would enable the use of existing skills and experience whilst allowing you to develop within the company in the future.


  • You will work alongside the existing Management Accountant and support a junior member of the finance team. You will learn the business and with the regional aspect of the accounting function now complete, you will support and assist with the migrationfrom QuickBooks Desktop to Sage 200, so a commercial mindset would be advantageous._

Your Responsibilities

  • You will maintain an order status log
  • You will oversee Credit Control
  • You will analyse and allocate costs within the accounts system to jobs and contracts to achieve regional and contract P&Ls
  • You will be responsible for monthly management reports and accounts
  • You will be involved in adhoc management reporting
  • You must contribute to the commercial requirements of prequalification and tender documents
  • You must ensure that accurate records are maintained of all transactions to satisfy reconciliation and audit requirements
  • You will prepare VAT returns
  • You will maintain the fixed asset register

Your Skills and Experience

  • You are either a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
  • You have similar experience in a broad accounting role with exposure to management and financial accounts
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a handson role
  • You have a proven track record of working alongside and presenting to Senior Management
  • You have experience using Sage 200 and advanced Excel skills

Remuneration and Rewards
- £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
