We are in search for a very special person to join our amazing team, helping them bring exciting adventures to the children everyday.

A childrecare qualification in early years is required along with natural organisational skills and common sense

You will be someone who demonstrates a mature attitude with a natural ability to work as part of a team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established team who will support and guide you everyday.

Our preschool has an excellent reputation for the care and dedication we provide to our children.

You will become a vital part of this and support us in growing and expanding our service to the local community.

Important requirements to consider before applying.....

You must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special

You must be able to laugh at jokes that you don't find funny or that make no sense

You must have a sense of fun and maybe be a little bit quirky; if the children want to go on an adventure into space, you will make that happen and be the best space captain you can be

You must be willing to pretend to drink numerous cups of tea and enjoy our very tasty mud pies

You must be comfortable to talk about poo and wee and to congratulate the children when they proudly announce they have been.

You must be able to deal with these bodily functions and have a high tolerance for strong smells

You must also be comfortable telling everyone that you are going to the toilet

You must be comfortable singing in front of a small crowd (this crowd will never question your vocal cords or comment on how out of tune you may be)

You must be able to count small heads quickly

You must be comfortable getting messy and having messy clothing on all day

You must be comfortable reading a story to a group of children who will interrupt you on numerous occasions and ask endless questions about why the bird is flying or why there is no lion in the Cinderella story

You must be willing to give the best hugs and cuddles but also to receive them and be left with a present of nasal fluid on your shoulder or sleeve

You must be able to stay calm and positive in all situations regardless of how you are really feeling on the inside

You must understand that your immune system will be tested to the maximum, as they say 'sharing is caring'.Please also understand social distancing is not something our young children should ever have to understand or follow

This is a difficult job, we have exceptionally high standards however we promise to support and respect you to allow you every opportunity to achieve your goal.

!! Please note we are a rural setting that has limited public transport services, you will need to carefully consider your transport options and how you will get to and from work!!

Finally you must be prepared to have lots of fun and share lots of laughter.

The joy of hearing and sharing a child's laughter is like no other feeling in the world, it creates a sense of warmth and happiness inside us which is very hard to get from any other job you may have tried.

You must be willing to feel loved and needed everyday and to allow yourself to become fully immerged in every aspect of this job to get the full reward.
