Marketing Assistant - Clarios UK

  • Croxley Park, Watford, UK

Responsibilities:
What you will do


You will report to the Marketing Manager for the UK, the internship will be based in UK office supporting on a variety of marketing & communication topics and trade events.

The intern will work closely with the UK sales and technical team, and be responsible for:

  • Communications &

Public Relations:
Day-to-day management of media bookings with key trade press.

Social media support / community management of VARTA Facebook page and Linked In channel / creating and sending out E-newsletters to customers.

Coordination of marketing and sponsorship enquiries. Presentation, PR article and literature creation and review. Translation checking of videos / documents from central marketing team based in Germany.

  • Marketing

POS:
Point of Sale & Promotional Items management including re-ordering / stock checks / arranging delivery to customers. Liaise with design and print agencies on new and ongoing projects.

  • Trade Events: Trade show support and planning & executing customer events.
  • Reporting: Weekly reporting support for Marketing Manager and during customer meetings.
  • Budget Control: Creation of marketing shopping carts and purchase orders. Liaising with the central purchasing team. Tracking expenditure for on a monthly basis and per project.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Assisting in the management and execution of strategic partnership programmes e.g. WhoCanFixMyCar sponsorship, to ensure maximum brand exposure for VARTA to specified trade target groups.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
What we look for

  • Currently studying for a degree in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent communication skills and good command of English, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Eager to learn new tasks and have the ability to both multitask and work in a team
  • Selfstarter and selfmotivated
Additional Information

We are looking for an undergraduate student to start with our team in June/July 2023, for a 12-month internship.

This position is open to undergraduates who are required to undertake in a work placement as part of their degree course.
