Content Producer

Full Time (40 hours)


Sunderland AFC is looking to appoint a Content Producer to work as part of the content team within the Communications, Digital and Marketing domain.

The postholder will lead the organisations Academy content across all platforms to continually develop the Club's digital engagement and audience.


The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Collaborate with the Content Manager to the plan, produce and publish social and editorial content.
  • Lead the organisation's Academy content output across all digital platforms and print publications.
  • Utilising the domain's task management platform, support the production of weekly and monthly multiplatform content plans across the Club's content and audiovisual platforms.
  • Contribute to and follow the domain's annual content strategy and calendar to ensure all opportunities are included and maximised.
  • Attend Under21 fixtures home and away and home First-Team fixtures where required.
  • Attend other fixtures, including SAFC Women and Youth, where required on a rotational basis, in addition to other Club activities and events.
  • Assist with other footballrelated media relations functions such as press conferences and availabilities, facilitating interviews, monitoring coverage and social media, and assist with producing related content.
  • Help to administer and oversee media accreditation for matchdays at the Stadium of Light.
  • Undertake media suite matchday duties and be responsible for welcoming and registering media to the Stadium of Light, making sure they are accredited, assisting them with queries, technology and appropriate access to facilities.
  • Mentor placement students and interns to ensure they proactively contribute and also enjoy a firstclass learning experience.
Any other reasonable duties.


The position is full time (40 hours per week), the availability to work flexible is essential to suit business needs.

Additionally, you are required to work all home fixtures and special events unless previously agreed with your manager.
