The Head of Shared Service will be expected to provide senior leadership support to all relevant areas for the Shared Services Group as well as ensuring all functional areas are appropriately resourced and SLAs are adhered to in the client's Bristol basedoffice.

Our client is a market leader in the retail industry looking for a Head of Shared Service to join their established yet growing team.


Description
The key responsibilities of the Head of Shared Service involve:

  • Ensure accurate and timely invoice processing, payments, and reporting of our transactions per annum, in line with client contractual terms.
  • Recruit, lead and develop an impactful team with a strong focus on delivering consistent service standards, positive outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise the performance of the department including setting strategy for initial and ongoing training and development and ensuring a close working relationship with clients.
  • Supporting and championing the business and teams through technological change
  • Oversight of the group's cash collections team ensuring that all invoices are actively chased, and sufficient investigations are done of funds on account.
  • Oversight of the accounts payable team, ensuring that suppliers are paid on time and accurately.
  • Managing the operational and commercial relationship with all shared services customers and external service providers

Profile

The successful Head of Shared Service will have:

  • Able to lead large teams through a series of change whilst managing and developing.
  • Proven ability to connect, manage and implement strategic business objectives.
  • Experience of change management and continuous improvement
  • Taking care of large transactional volumes
  • Extensive experience in a senior shared services role
  • Proven experience within best practice processes and continuous improvement
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability inspire and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and execution skills
