Test & Development Engineer

Salary:
£32,000 to £38,000 DOE

Location:
Devizes, Wiltshire

Type:
Permanent, Full time
My client is looking to recruit a Test & Development Engineer to join their manufacturing company based in Wiltshire.

The company are a world leading manufacturer of precision parts, primarily serving the automotive, aerospace and power generation industriessupplying a worldwide customer base.

The main duties within the role of Test & Development Engineer will be:

  • Producing 3D models and assemblies, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Design of test rigs for static & dynamic testing / Design of our clients products.
  • Creating detailed technical drawings for the manufacture components.
  • Produce suitable test plans/test reports and manage projects.
  • Operation of test rig.
  • Installation of instrumentation and associated equipment.
  • Write software for rig data acquisition, and control systems.

Skills/Experience required:


  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Solidworks experience or similar CAD package
  • High level of IT skills (such as Excel, Matlab)
  • Experience with FEA/ CFD.
  • Knowledge of QA and DFMEA
  • Project management skills.
  • Good understanding of GD&T AND experience with FEA and CFD (beneficial).
  • Excellent understanding of Mechanical Sciences.
