Trainee Paraplanner
Linlithgow, West Lothian
Full Time - 40 hours per week
Salary Dependent on Experience

Search Consultancy are currently working with a West Lothian based company who are looking to bring on a Trainee Paraplanner.

You will be expected to provide support to the company Paraplanners and Advisers, ensuring accurate management and completion of dailytasks so that all clients receive a top level of service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in Financial Services, with set training completed each month and an opportunity to progress within the business based on your strengths and successes.


Duties involved in this role will include:

  • Provide necessary support to the Paraplanners, Advisers and Directors when required
  • Deal with all daily correspondence scanning all incoming post then sending it on to the relevant team members
  • Ensure all documentation is kept up to date and accurately processed and filed
  • Maintain all client files in line with GDPR, ensuring all information is up to date and filed accurately
  • Ensure all client contact is recorded correctly, either electronically or in a paper record where appropriate
  • Recording all lead enquiries on inbound and outbound call, passing them on to management
  • Preparation of client files for face to face meetings, then confirming these meetings with clients
  • Preparation of policy summaries, graphs and other required documentation
  • Contacting and liaising with providers for documentation/required information
  • Use of internal systems for business processing, submission, through to completion and issue of new business
  • Complete monthly training requirements, taking ownership of training needs and logging completion in your personal file
  • Adhere to all requirements in regards to compliance and regulatory policies
In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:

  • Must be looking for a future in Financial Services, the client will be looking to invest time into your training over multiple years
  • Confident in administration, preferably in Financial Services but this is not required
  • Hard working with a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Team player with a positive attitude, with a keen interest in personal development
