Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and delivery of the electrical systems of our electric vehicles, ensuring they meet performance, cost, and quality targets.
  • Manage a team of electrical engineers, providing technical direction, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other vehicle components.
  • Work closely with the product development team to ensure that the electrical systems meet customer requirements and are aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Develop and maintain the electrical systems design process, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Participate in technical reviews and ensure that engineering designs meet quality and safety standards.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the development of the electrical systems and work with the relevant stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring that the team delivers on time and within budget.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the design and development of electrical systems, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) and their components.
  • Proficient in engineering principles, materials selection, and manufacturing methods.
  • Proficient in vehicle assembly as it pertains to EDS.
  • Proficient in EDS manufacturing processes, EDS validation techniques, and methodologies.
  • Proven leadership experience, including managing a team of engineers and delivering projects.
  • Experience with the development of highvoltage electrical systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262, is desirable.
Possess a fundamental understanding of low-carbon electric and hybrid vehicle technologies, which includes:

  • Understanding the operation of HV batteries, PDU's, inverters, motors, and chargers in vehicles.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical distribution systems (EDS) that operate at high, medium, and low voltages.
