Political Assistant (Labour Group) - 28 hpw
(Town Hall, South Shields)
£29,439 pa pro rata

Fixed Term Contract until May 2026

An exciting new post has been established within the Council's Governance and Corporate Affairs Directorate.

The role, Political Assistant to the Labour Group, will work closely with, and support, the Labour Group of Councillors on South Tyneside Council.


You will be required to undertake research, provide policy and communications analysis and advice and help to ensure administrative support to the Group.


We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and partnership skills, experience of working in a political environment and communicating with the media and a detailed knowledge of the issues impacting local government.
