The vacancy

We're looking for a talented
Landscaping Team Leader to deliver residential and commercial landscaping projects at the highest quality standards.

Reporting to our Landscape Manager, you will be leading, coaching and supervising 2-3 landscape team members to deliver bespoke projects on time.

This includes ensuring that we use the right tools, equipment and materials to deliver excellent services.

Our client sites vary from residential gardens (of all sizes) through to commercial and public spaces such as business parks, corporate offices and places of historic interest.

At different times, you will be working on sites throughout Hertfordshire, North London and surrounding areas. If you're looking for an interesting and fulfilling job move where you can help to bring beautiful garden designs to life, this could be just right for you

As a working Team Leader, in addition to providing landscaping services yourself, we will need you to:

  • Oversee your team's workload for the day
  • Use our Standard Operating Procedures to train and coach team members
  • Keep all risk assessments up to date
  • Communicate proactively with clients, colleagues and other work contacts

What do I need?

  • As a starting point, we want to see your excitement and passion for beautiful outdoor spaces.
  • You'll have good hard and soft landscaping skills, experience and knowledge.
  • Ideally, you will have prior experience in leadership and job coaching skills, as well as excellent time management.
  • Communication and presentation are key. You'll be representing The Garden Company to our clients.

When you join The Garden Company, you become part of a friendly and talented group of people working well together.

Our teamwork is a strength, encouraging people to stay long term and grow their careers. Together, we work hard to get things done and keep our clients happy.

As one of The Garden Company team, you will benefit from our culture of continuous training and development.

For example, last year several of our people (across landscaping and gardening services) gained an RHS qualification in Practical Horticulture.

Whatever level of experience you bring on day one, you will gain more knowledge and skills in your new role.

We want to help you to enjoy your work and take pride in what you achieve.

We are based in a semi-rural location with limited public transport. Work vehicles will be available during the workday. You will need a manual driving licence.
