Assistant Buyer


Salary:
Up to £28k depending on experience


Location:
Barnsley

We are recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join a fast-paced buying team.

Within this role you will work with the Senior Buyer to grow sales, maximise profits and looking at competitive prices.


About you:


  • Have experience as a buying assistant.
  • Worked in FMCG
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with various customers.
  • Excel knowledge (Vlookups and formulas)
  • Ability to create and understand detailed reporting
  • Work well as a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Thrive working in a fastpaced environment.

The role:


  • Sales forecasting
- replenishment ordering

  • Develop seasonal ranges
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing suppliers
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure an efficient supply chain
  • Work with the marketing team
  • Identify market trends and new products
  • Understand competitors
