The newly formed Value Chain Strategy (VCS) team is a vibrant, creative and forward-thinking team, responsible for delivering world-class digital products and solutions which will enable us to further understand, optimise and strengthen our complex global value chains as part of our value chain strategy transformation

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Analytics & Digital Engineer, your role will be focussed on generating business critical insights and value creation through advanced analytical tools and techniques.

You'll be immediately immersed in the world of Supply Chain and its abundance of data.

Whilst engaging heavily with a cross functional mix of data owners, stewards and stakeholders you will be supporting the design, delivery & industrialisation of the internal analytical tool Value Stream Risk Index (VSRI), delivering accurate Risk Index scores and Value at Risk calculations embedding VaR / Risk Index logic into BAU processes.

A strong interest in data analysis as well as strong capabilities in data management is essential within this role - along with a high competence of SQL Databases, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Airflow and Business intelligence Tools, you'll be hands on working on Big Query and Tableau in your day-to-day activities.

You'll be managing a wide range of data inputs and analysis outputs across a wide range of internal and external sources to enable the delivery of key projects such as the VSRI and Risk Convergence and deliver best value to the business.

You'll work closely with different areas of Jaguar Land Rover including Digital, Supply Chain Design, and the Risk Operation and Strategic Teams to define requirements and gather information relevant to project and develop/update all project documents.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

We are looking for applicants who have strong communication skills that will not only enable them to gain information more efficiently from Data Owners, but also the ability to understand the business requirement, and provide what is needed for analysis.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive experience working within a data, software engineering or analytics role.
  • Highly competent with SQL (Big Query) and experience of modern dataoriented architectures & databases.
  • Extensive experience with cloud data environments such as GCP and data pipeline orchestration products (Airflow/dataform/GitLab).
  • Experience for data visualisation and experience with an associated tool (Tableau, Looker, etc.)
  • Experience of data engineering and analysis on core supply chain data sets e.g. BoM, ERP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you'll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme.

All this and more makes JLR the perfect place to continue your journey.

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office.

At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees with more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work, if suitable for their role.
