Finance Manager
This is a great opportunity to join a large retailer on the lookout for a Finance Manager for a 12month contract paying £400-£475 a day


Reporting into the Head of Finance, you are the trusted and credible Finance Manager providing the maintenance and financial integrity of the UK P&L, Balance Sheet, and overall Financial Control accounting function which underpins the growth strategy ofthe business.

You will bring a passionate, positive nature to the role which will be vital in supporting the drive of the team and setting the company up for continued success


You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Financial Control & Accounting function for the UK.
  • Acting as a key senior finance stakeholder and engaging with the senior leaders throughout the business to understand and respond to issues relating to business performance.
  • Participating in the consolidated monthly management reports including driving accountability and providing commentary and analysis.
  • Managing budgeting and forecasts (monthly, quarterly and annual) processes for the UK reporting and presenting back to senior leadership.
  • Driving improvements in reporting, controls and adherence to group policies.
  • Monitoring the daytoday financial operations within the company, such as cash flow, banking, purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, and other transactions
  • Ensuring all accounting activities and audits comply with financial regulations, and submission of all tax returns
  • Assisting set up any growth markets in Europe with establishment of entity, coordinating any local tax advice etc.
  • Establishing and maintaining financial governance, control and policies and procedures for the UK entity
To be successful in this role you will need:

  • An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent) with experience in consumer industry
  • Confidence in presenting in front of Stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of IFRS for UK requirements
  • Ability to take ownership of monthend and yearend closing processes
