Risk & Compliance Officer

Due to expansion, the Society is looking to appoint a full time Risk & Compliance Officer to join its Risk & Compliance team
The role involves assisting in all aspects of the day to day operation of the department, including:

Ensuring that all systems, processes, procedures and documentation across the Society are in line with prevailing legislation
Helping review and evaluate the efficiency of key controls and look to improve them continuously
Playing a key role in ensuring adherence to all audit and compliance requirements through regular checks of savings and mortgage accounts, as well as control checks of other internal data, including financial information
Assisting with the production of Risk & Compliance reporting and management information
Playing a key role in the detection and prevention of financial crime within the Society
Assisting in the review and recommendation of Health & Safety practices across the Society in line with prevailing legislation
Coaching end users and assisting them with their understanding of effective implementation of Risk and Compliance policies
Liaising with Auditors, Health & Safety advisors, and various external parties
