I am currently recruiting for a confident Teaching Assistant to work within a busy secondary school in Salford for a full-time role from
February 2023.
The Role
Five days a week - 8.00am to 4.00pm
The role will be based in the school's behavioural unit for students with EHCPs
Students will often need additional support to access the curriculum, and this requires a strong amount of patience and understanding.
This particular unit is to provide a safe learning environment where students can learn with support and develop independent study skills.
- Supporting students on a 1 to1 basis or in small groups.
- Supporting young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Supporting young people with mental health needs and anxiety
- Work collaboratively with other member of the SEN team, senior leaders, heads of departments, parents and carers, social workers and other members of the child's multidisciplinary team.

To join us and be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will need to:
- Have a minimum of six weeks' experience of working with children aged 11 to 16 supported by references OR be a recent graduate with an interest in getting into teaching.
- Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Bachelor's degree or teaching assistant qualifications
