Due to internal mobility, we are after a new Lab consultant to work closely with the commercial team to support the sales process as a technical specialist and consultant for workflow analysis using recognized LEAN methodologies in line with customer needs to optimise their workflow and propose bioMérieux solutions.

Reporting to the Project and Consultancy Manager, you will be in a team of two. This role is field based with travel across UK& Ireland required.


What will be your main responsibilities at bioMerieux?

  • Lab consultant on our complex installations to demonstrate the value of the bioMérieux offer in close collaboration with the commercial team ( e.g blood culture,centralized/decentralized, ID/AST workflow &Maestria).
  • Analyse customer needs and develop the most suitable workflow solution showing the value of our proposal.
  • Set and organize pre sales demonstration workshops for the Lab Automation and Maestria solutions.
  • Identify and convince decision makers and influencers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) of the superior workflow and highlighting value of bioMerieux solutions
  • Create a network and full understanding of Lab Automation solutions within each sales territory, in collaboration with the account manager, to increase consumption of the existing installed base and explore for new potential.
  • Consolidate and ensures consistency of technical data
  • Build and present product demos tailored to Customer needs
  • Work together with the Project & Consultancy Manager to build the commercial offer.
  • Design and support the implementation of bioMérieux's lab automation installations working closely with the Lab Efficiency Business Manager and IT Specialist
  • Conduct rapid improvement events as required for bioMérieux product ranges pre and post sale
  • Ensure the compliance of sales activities, commercial policy, and company policies.
Batchelor of science is essential.

Consultancy Expertise in IVD market is preferred but not essential

Lean six sigma black belt or equivalent qualification preferred but not essential (Laboratory consultancy training will be provided if required)

Commercial experience in vitro diagnostic (IVD) business.

Knowledge of the bioMérieux offer and the competing offer.
