Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor who enjoys helping students overcome barriers to education? We are looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to provide support to small groups of students who have been permanently excluded from mainstream education.

You will be helping students with all aspects of day to day school life.

This role requires a Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with challenging behaviours or Social Emotional Mental Health needs.

This school provides a wonderful setting to help students reengage with education and get the most out of school. You will be joining an established team of mentors who are committed to making a difference. The school is a welcoming environment with excellentfacilities and a proactive leadership team. Behaviour is sometimes challenging, but mostly students engage with lessons.

Job role:

  • Providing classroom support for students with SEMH needs
  • Managing challenging behaviours and keeping student on track
  • Delivering positive intervention sessions aimed at improving engagement and resilience
  • Providing support on school trips and extracurricular activities
  • Working with the SENCO to ensure EHCPs are followed
