The Role:


Due to continued company growth, we are looking to recruit an Apprentice Operations Assistant to support our business in all departments - service / sales / admin / social media...

the list goes on and on


This is a new role within the company and will be incredibly diverse so you will need to be super flexible.

Every day can be different, one day you could be creating social media posts and the next you could be preparing quotations for a blue chip company

Compressed air is a very niche industry but don't worry, we will teach you all you need to know about our compressed air world


About You:


For this role you will need to:

  • Be resilient and confident with a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Have strong problemsolving abilities, attention to detail and reliability.
  • Be straighttalking, we don't walk on eggshells round here
  • Have a high degree of flexibility.
  • Have a huge respect and love for engineering.
  • Be highly creative, always looking for ways to improve working processes.
  • Have good interpersonal skills with the ability to work & contribute within a team environment.
  • Have a basic understanding of computer programs.
  • Live within 30 minutes of our head office in Romsey, Hampshire.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Report directly to the Operations Manager, working together to achieve optimal operational efficiency.
  • To assist in the operational and administrative tasks ensuring they are carried out in a timely and reactive fashion
  • For example: Closure of open jobs, preparing RAMS, converting new customers to adhoc contracts, registering equipment on the supplier portal.
  • To prepare and send quotations to customers as required for supply, service or repair of their equipment.
  • Help manage the stores stock along with booking and allocating stock for the service engineers.
  • To assist and provide technical support for customers, suppliers, and service engineers.
  • Answer enquires from customers/suppliers and raising related documentation as required.
  • To assist with the planning of reactive and planned maintenance tasks for the service engineers.
  • Gain indepth knowledge of our products, customers, and demand across both brands.
  • Gain detailed understanding of the various stock, demand and other IT systems used in the business.

Apprenticeship Level 3 Training


You will be studying the Level 3 Business Administrator (or equivalent) apprenticeship standard across months, learning all key skills such as IT, project management, planning, document production and much more.

Following successful completion of this apprenticeship, we would then keep you on as a permanent team member.
