Fixed Term Contract, until end September 2026
Salary:
£25,643 per annum (pro-rata if working part time hours)
Hours: 33.25 or 37.5 hours per week
Grahame Park LOOP, a reuse hub in Colindale is seeking a Retail Associate & Driver to join our expanding team.
The LOOP collects, repairs, restores and sells unique and lovingly restored furniture, offering training and volunteering opportunities for the community in furniture restoration.
Located on the Grahame Park Estate in Barnet, the LOOP comprises of a workshop and retail store, thereby providing reused, sustainable and affordable furniture to Grahame Park Estate, Colindale and the wider Barnet Community.
Funded by National Lottery, the Retail Associate & Driver will be responsible for supporting day to day operational activities at the LOOP retail store.
Excellent customer service will be a core component of the role, assisting customers in the shop and processing sales both in person and online.
The Retail Associate & Driver will assist with the visual merchandising of stock on the shop floor and window displays and on occasions open or close the store.
Furthermore, the post will make collections and deliveries of household furniture to local residents, using the LOOP van. The postholder must have a full driving licence.Please contact us if you have:
- Proven experience in customer services, front of house, shop floor experience, hospitality or event management
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to assist customers in a friendly and cooperative manner
- Ability to work independently and with initiative. Work collaboratively with the team to maximise sale opportunities online and in the shop
- Full driving licence and willingness to drive a van / work with others to load and unload furniture
- Knowledge or interest in Reuse and Sustainable Products
Groundwork London is a community charity with a green heart that has been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 20 years.
This includes working with communities to make their neighbourhoods greener and more resilient to climate change, supporting long-term unemployed individuals to find work, helping young people get back into education and training, and advising residents how to save money on their energy and water needs.
