We will be the powerhouse behind the products that enable people to understand, manage and take control of their energy.

Your team

You'll be part of the Design & Research team - a group of 8 friendly and collaborative Product Designers and User Researchers.

The majority of our time is spent working in our product teams, but we meet as D&R twice a week to share and critique our work.

We also make time to share knowledge and learn new things, from accessibility and design systems to new skills like motion and 3D.

You will

• Design a new breed of energy products, focused on building trust with consumers and electrifying their homes
• Work with one or two product teams in either the Consumer Apps group or the Business Tools group
• Own the full design of a significant product area, from concepts to shipping and beyond
• Contribute to product decisions, balancing vision with pragmatism
• Test your designs with users, dive into data and iterate based on what you've learned
• Run workshops, sketching sessions and critiques to help bring new perspectives to the work
• Find ways to improve our products and spot opportunities for new product ideas
• Champion inclusive and accessible design
• Contribute to our design system, empowering teams to build amazing products fast
• Learn from other designers and researchers to grow in your role
• Mentor and potentially manage junior designers

About you

Essential experience

A portfolio showing evidence of:

• Design for web and mobile apps
• A design process focused on understanding and solving problems
• Uncovering needs and finding ways to meet them
• Communicating knowledge and understanding using journey maps, diagrams, sketches, etc
• Assessing strengths and weaknesses of different design solutions
• Using data and research to show you've solved the problem
• Designing for multiple platforms and devices
• Visual design craft and attention to detail
• Simplifying complexity

You can:

• Design products that meet user and business needs, and balance them with technical constraints
• Communicate clearly
• Give and receive constructive feedback
• Work in a team and on your own

Desirable experience

• Experience working within a SaaS company
