Description
We are recruiting for a Trade Sales Assistant on behalf of our client. You will be responsible for sales and answering the phone in the trade shop department. To check goods received/delivered against the relevant documentation. Maintaining and organising a clean and tidy shop at all times.


Responsibilities:


  • Planning and monitoring the delivery and dispatch of orders
  • Picking customers orders for dispatch
  • Liaising with customers and supplier
  • Stock control
  • Fulfilling objectives and directions from the operations.
  • Coordinating the use of automated and computerized systems.
  • Responding to and dealing with customers needs
  • To maintain the warehouse inline with the company standards
  • Ensure the company Health & Safety Polices are complied with at all times.
  • Have regular team meetings with your line managers to discuss operating challenges
  • To improve the stock profile and stock turn of all items
  • To display stocked items in the correct manor
  • Training on new products and relevant vehicles
  • Controlling stock orders inline with customer needs and demands
  • To manually gage stock turn
  • Daily operations of the the department
  • Following the correct procedures of the IT system
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Communication with your team on delivery times and schedules
  • Cover or arrange cover within your department in relation to sickness and holidays
  • To check goods received against delivery notes and to input the delivery notes onto the company system, complying with company procedures
  • To check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
  • To enter the delivery notes onto the company system promptly and accurately.
  • Matching the correct purchase order number.
  • Notify the relevant department via the delivery note of any short shipments/mistakes.
  • Notify relevant department of any damaged goods received and place in the quarantine section, awaiting further instruction.
  • Assist when required with the physical movement of stock from the goods In area to the warehouse and/or packing and putting away stock
  • Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded.
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date i.e. PPI Counts
  • Meeting KPI targets within the department.
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
£25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
