Overview


Newsco Insider Limited is a successful B2B media company which hosts over 170 major black tie award dinners, monthly breakfast events and conferences across the UK and Northern Ireland.

The events are growing year on year and we will need someone to 'hit the ground running'.

Whilst this role can be challenging, for the right person, it will be a highly exciting opportunity to progress within the company.


KEY TASKS:


  • To manage breakfast, conference and dinner events allocated to you
  • Responsible for the development of event programme planning from the start to end
  • Negotiating with suppliers to ensure events details are translated effectively into accurate booking details and promotional material.
  • Drive the promotion of events and assisting other team members to maximise attendance using a variety of communication channels.
  • To ensure that ticket sales targets are achieved where applicable
  • Manage budgets for core events, ensuring events are run as cost effectively as possible
  • Working with internal teams to facilitate specific services for the events
  • Working with specific procedures and systems and liaising with different internal departments and external contacts to ensure that all administration and planning for the events are completed in a timely manner
  • Represent the Organisation at appropriate events and contribute to the development and delivery of events targeted at clients, as required
  • Overall marketing campaign management for specific projects

The Successful Applicant:

Essential Skills:


  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to multitask and work on a large number of events at any given time
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • Impeccable attention to detail

Key Skills:


  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Ability to pick up computer systems quickly
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers to achieve best price
  • Confident in liaising/working with various teams within the organisation

Experience:


  • Experience of working in an office environment is preferable
  • Experience of working on events is essential

Personal:


  • Highly presentable (particularly when representing the organisation at an event)
  • Professional and flexible approach and attitude
  • The office hours are Monday
  • Friday 9.00am 5.30pm, but you must be willing to work away from home outside of these hours on a weekly basis at different event locations across the UK.
  • Be a team player whilst you will be working on your own events, the department is very busy and we need someone who will be willing to help the team when they need it
