Slough Council for Voluntary Service (SCVS) is a small charity, supporting the voluntary and community sector in Slough.

We are passionate about helping the voluntary sector to work more effectively in the local community, providing infrastructure, training, funding and volunteering support.

We are looking for three new Community Connectors in Slough, two within the Adult Social Care Front Door Hub and one at Wexham Park Hospital.

As a Community Connector, you will provide customer information, advice, support and signposting, guiding residents, patients, carers to access voluntary and community services and providing support as needed.

Working in close partnership with voluntary partners, you will help deliver 'social prescriptions' to enhance the lives of Slough residents.

This a new service for Slough CVS and we require empathetic, proactive and resilient individuals, with a knowledge and understanding of community and voluntary services across Slough.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and share complex information clearly and effectively is a must, along with an organised and adaptable approach to manage a varied workload.

As you will be part of a wider team across health and social care, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and establish effective and positive working relationships with colleagues, partners and service users.
