Innovation Executive
We are looking for an Innovation Executive to join a national disability charity at an exciting time of growth

Innovation Executive


Location:
Harlow, Essex - opportunity for partial home-working


Hours:
Full-time, permanent


Salary:
£30 - £35k per annum, depending on experience


About the Role:


As Innovation Executive you will work with staff and external partners to scope possible projects, products and partners for the charity's emerging priority areas.


You will support the charity's Innovation Managers to implement a range of already-defined projects in exciting and innovative spaces, such as expanding and improving community transport provision, and develop thinking on possible routes forwards and productdesign for other new areas, such as amplifying user voice.

You will also conduct your own research, bringing together and analysing internal and external evidence on disability and transport, and help define and manage external research contracts.


You will work collaboratively with contacts in the not for profit, public and commercial sectors as required, sharing learning and building relationships.

You will support innovation practices such as grant funding, convening experts in their fields, orprototyping and piloting products and services.

About you:

As Innovation Executive you will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to design and deliver strategic scoping, research and analysis.
  • Project management expertise to be able to develop and implement specific project tasks, working across teams with external organisations.
  • Ability to support multiple simultaneous projects across a wide range of areas, working at pace and meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other charities, commercial enterprises and Government.
  • Previous experience in research, innovation, policy, product design, or project management roles, preferably in the charity sector.


Although not essential, experience of product design or innovation in a social impact context would be highly desirable, as would an understanding of disability, mobility and accessible design issues.
