Our business continues to evolve, and we are now seeking Collection Agents to join Financial Services and help shape this brand-new team As a Collections Agent, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients navigate their financial obligations while maintaining our commitment to exceptional customer service.
This is a unique opportunity to support the build and growth of this team and make your mark, particularly if progression is what you are looking for.
This role is based from our Stockton-on-Tees hub, with just 2-3 days a week required in the office.We can offer both part time and full time hours as we believe that a balanced and supportive work environment is essential for both employee well-being and great customer service.
What you'll be doing:
- Engage with clients in a compassionate and empathetic manner, understanding their unique circumstances, whilst finding mutually beneficial solutions
- Undertake affordability assessments with customers via Income and Expenditure reviews
- Challenging customers to make sure that the responses received with regards to reviews and ability to pay are fair
- Handling difficult calls to help the customer, whilst working towards a successful outcome
- Confidence to escalate debt for further recovery once our collection timescales have elapsed
- Ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of all data
- Comply with regulatory requirements where applicable, including the FCA Consumer Duty by aiming to deliver good outcomes for our client's customers and ensure they are supported in their dealings with us
What you'll bring:
- Experience of working in a debt recovery or credit control position
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Can demonstrate being able to thrive in a performance driven environment whilst keeping integrity and a professional approach
- Ability to build effective and positive relationships whilst delivering a high standard of customer service
- Seek to solve problems and suggest solutions before having to escalate them
- Attention to detail is essential as all customer interactions are recorded for quality and audit purposes
- Ability to demonstrate resilience in managing difficult conversations and maintaining professionalism
It would be great if you had:
- Understanding of the importance of data security in the services provided
- Experience of working in a contact centre environment
- Experience of working in an FCA regulated environment or Financial Services
