We are delighted to be working with a local authority client, recruiting on their behalf for a Procurement Officer, a role that is available on a full time basis._

This role is ongoing role due to an increase in work and commands a standard hourly rate of £14.44per hour._

Job Description_

To support the day to day aspects of the procurement team work including category management, business analysis, purchase orders and undertaking procurement related activities.
To support the team to deliver major, complex and high value/risk procurements for the organisation, liaising with other key officers as appropriate.
To support the procurement team to ensure contracting activity is undertaken on a timely basis and in accordance with the planned programme of work.
To support the team to ensure satisfactory contract management arrangements are in place within the organisation.
To support the implementation and maintenance of electronic solutions and improvements to commissioning and procurement activity.
To support the Category Manager and Procurement Managers in developing and maintaining appropriate management, monitoring and service delivery information for the provision of a high quality procurement service.
