Job Overview:


An opportunity to join our experienced, versatile team, managing the facilities used for conferences, presentations, and meetings for our world class Armed Forces personnel.


Position Overview


Located and based at HMS Collingwood, Fareham, the post holder coordinates nominated facilities for the delivery of site conferences, presentations, and meetings, ensuring that the equipment and venues are maintained and available to time and quality.

Nominated areas include presentation halls and meeting rooms.

Due to the nature of this role, the post holder is a frontline ambassador both for MITIE and HMS Collingwood.


Main Duties

  • Support Conference organisers in the delivery of their events; ensuring meeting rooms and equipment in nominated areas, are available and operating.
  • Support internal Conference Liaison personnel to ensure all internal and external departments are fully engaged with the event, enabling a successful outcome.
  • Act as the point of contact for health and safety aspects and manage the maintenance of nominated area.
  • The post holder also provides support to the Corporate Communications and Public Relations outputs.
  • Undertake any other tasks determined by the MITIE Manager, including support/cover for other MITIE staff within any Service Stream.
  • Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance with current Health and Safety Regulations and the General Data Protection Act.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, orally and written.
Administration experience.
Ability to work to tight deadlines and adapt to short notice changes.
Innovative with the ability to offer creative and practical solutions, be forward thinking.
Pro-active approach to ever-changing demands.
Capable and experienced in use of MS Office software.
Good standard of education (GCSE Grade C or relevant qualification at NVQ Level 2/3).
Driving Licence.
Knowledge of the MOD/Royal Navy (desirable).
