A rare and fantastic opportunity has become available based in Trafford for repair technician on a permanent basis for a client within the Manufacturing industry.
- 37.5 Hours a week
- 7.30am 4pm (Monday Thursday)
- 7.30am 2.30pm (Friday)

As a Repair Technician you will be responsible for the dismantle, clean, and inspect processes of all pumps (repair or upgrade) and decoking equipment.
In this role you will utilize precision inspection equipment to measure dimensions of components and assembliesand will also repair and assemble equipment meeting quality standards, company policies, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
- Follow instructions given in prejob briefings and complete all checklists, routers, and procedures.
- Clean each part to be reused and documenting the condition of components.
- Use hand torches and liquid nitrogen when appropriate in the teardown process.
- Disassemble products to repair or replace defective materials or worn parts and make other repairs, as necessary.
- Inspect components and assemblies accurately and precisely, and clearly record the results of these inspections.
- Operate various precision measuring tools.
- Take pictures to document condition and process.
- Participate and adhere to the implementation and use of appropriate reporting and operating systems, manufacturing, and quality processes.
- Participate and report quality related problems. Report deviations, ensure creation of Non-Conformity Reports and execute corrective actions identified.
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Exhibit behaviour that encourages teambuilding, decisionmaking, problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Experience as a rotating machinery mechanic.
- Must have personal set of mechanic's tools, micrometres, and rollaround toolbox.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Keen and able to work overtime hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
Requirements:
- Pump repair experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with pumps or heavy machinery.
- HS Diploma / GED and 35 years relevant experience
