Summary of role- To provide a comprehensive, effective, efficient, highly confidential and responsive service to the Assistant Director
- Housing, his team and other users of Council services achieving a smooth and consistent customer journey delivered as locally and as close to the first point of contact as possible.
- You will be working for the assistant director and the role is predominantly as his administrative assistant. Service Delivery Accountabilities
- To work with some autonomy, to effectively deliver administrative support that meets the needs of the Assistant Director
- Housing, seeking advice when required to effectively delegate or escalate enquiries.
- Take ownership of calls/enquiries and ensure that outstanding tasks are followed up and dealt with to the satisfaction of both the customer and the Council.
- Diary management and arranging meetings.
- Preparation of letters, reports, spreadsheets and presentations with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
- Attend meetings as required to take and produce clear, concise minutes, ensure prompt circulation of these and manage the actions arising.
- Work professionally in accordance with the Housing / Council policies, procedures, standing orders and financial regulations.
- Support the operational and functional management of the service including the distribution of resources to meet customer and organisational needs, while supporting Housing initiatives.
- Any other duties that correspond reasonably to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.
- You will be encouraged to work as part of the housing team to help to achieve group projects. We also encourage regular contact with other team members to ask for advice, support and to encourage team building.
- We hold regular team meetings to discuss and encourage each other as well as 121 sessions to discuss individual development needs and project updates.
- You will be given individual projects and goals to achieve and be encouraged to attend regular training sessions to develop your skills. We also encourage you to ask for additional training and support as necessary.

Salary:
£12.16-£17.52 per hour
