Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
Ensure the Divisional Board is fully briefed and supported in operational, governance and performance matters for the operational area.

Contribute to the Divisional and Trust strategic aims and ensure the achievement of strategic objectives/deliverables for the operational area.

Ensure key national and local performance targets are achieved by the relevant Directorates by planning resources linked to the Division/Trust's Business Plan and Service Level Agreements.

Work with Leads to co-ordinate all clinical services across the operational area and ensure these run smoothly and efficiently and within agreed resources.

To support and contribute to a style and approach to working based upon excellent communications, openness and the improvement of both managerial and patient service performance.

To work in partnership with colleagues and partner organisations to develop service improvement plans, to ensure service improvement targets are delivered.

Develop meaningful clinical dialogue with Practice Based Commissions and Primary Care, in liaison with the Chief of Division, Divisional Operations Director and Divisional Nursing Director.

To communicate effectively both internally and externally as an ambassador or representative for the Trust.
