Description
MD Thompson is currently looking for a Sales office assistant to join the team.

The role will involve being a key contact between the company and its customers.


Duties will include:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers.
  • Developing and increasing company sales.
  • Liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.
  • Preparing customer orders.
  • Advising about alternative products and discussing special promotions.
  • Assisting with Marketing strategies.
  • Providing customers with quotations.
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, against targets as you gain experience.
  • Contacting potential customers for new business.

Skills required

  • The ability and desire to sell.
  • Excellent communication and Customer service skills.
  • A confident and determined approach.
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with high volume of telephone calls.
  • Quick learner, Selfmotivation and drive.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use internal computer systems.
Previous experience in sales and knowledge of the electrical trade preferable but not essential.
