Red recruitment is recruiting for an exciting and fast paced role that offers the chance to give back and make the community a safer place.

As a Customer Service Advisor for a local police force, you will be taking inbound 999 emergency calls and co-ordinating a response based on an assessment of the risk.


Shifts are 4 days on and 4 days off or 6 days on and 4 days off and the hours are
a mix of the following shifts;

7am - 5pm

1pm - 11pm

11pm - 7am

Benefits and Package for a Customer Service Advisor:


  • Salary: £30,953 per annum (including shift allowances and uplifts)

4 days on and 4 days off or 6 days on and 4 days off
7am - 5pm, 1pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am

Location:Portishead

  • 5 weeks of training (Monday Friday, 9am 5pm)

Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Advisor:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for members of the public, internal staff, and external agencies
  • Responding to emergency and nonemergency calls and making initial assessments
  • Ensuring all calls are received within a timely manner in line with guidelines
  • Investigating and identifying information from various sources and ensuring systems are updated
  • Recording accurate information to ensure the correct response is delivered through officer deployment or investigation of crime
This role requires an empathetic person with a natural desire to help those in need, along with basic computer literacy and that's all
