The Systems Engineering Department supports core technology development, demonstrates technology at system level, develops and exploits system IP and jointlydevelops product systems for commercialisation with our partners.

The Modelling and Data Analysis Team focus on providing internal and external customers with access to, and interpretation of, high quality data relating to product performance.

As part of a journey towards the further digitalisation of our modelling andanalysis techniques, the use of cloud-based storage and processing power provides further potential opportunities to use the data, along with increased processing capabilities and data-rich analysis techniques to create new insight from this data to betterunderstand our engineering processes and support development of further digital modelling capabilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Development and maintenance of data analysis and reporting toolsets for use with system engineering and product development activities
  • Support and development of automated processing algorithms to enable the definition and generation of consistent system performance metrics across the business
  • Develop bestpractice processes and tools for the analysis of engineering data, to ensure quality and consistency across the business Use and development of 0D and 1D thermofluids modelling of current and future systems along with the specification oftest plans to validate model performance
  • Take a lead role in project teams, developing and delivering system modelling and data analysis to support high level project goals
  • Present simulation and analysis results in a clear and consistent manner to enable engagement with engineering data throughout the business
