40hrs a week

The Young Care Hub is an innovative therapeutic care provider supporting children and young people in residential and edge of care settings.

Through a unique evidence-based model grounded in an understanding of childhood development, trauma, and attachment, the Young Care Hub aims to support children and young people to live a higher quality of life and achieve better outcomes both in the moment and into adulthood.

The Young Care Hub model blends social and clinical approaches to care and emphasises the importance of multi-disciplinary teams, where each individual is encouraged to bring their own unique skill set to meet the individual needs of the children and young people we support.

The children we support need varying levels of care and structure.

We are looking for Residential Workers who can provide a homely and therapeutic approach to child centered work, from a strengths and outcomes based perspective.

Some key duties of a Young Care Hub Residential Worker

Ensuring you build rapport and relational safety with the child/young person.
Participating in the planning and implementation of activities with the child/young person.
Engaging with the child/young person at their level both cognitively and physically throughout their day to build structure, routine, and enjoyment (i.e., playing ability appropriate games, communicating in a cognitively appropriate manner, getting on the floor to play a game, sitting at a table together to do activities, reading bedtime stories etc.).
Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living to support new learning and encourage greater autonomy.
Supporting the child/young person in community engagements.
Adopting a strengthsbased approach to encourage the child/young person to engage in a varied range of activities and try new things.

At the Young Care Hub we strongly believe we cannot have healthy and happy children and young people without having healthy and happy teams.

All of our team members are extensively trained in the Young Care Hub model and are supported by the senior leadership team which includes a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Consultant CAMHS Psychiatrist, and Lead Mental Health Nurse.

Applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
