The role:


This is a key role within an ambitious, growing business for a Digital Marketing Assistant who is positive in nature and keen to learn new skills.

We are an e-commerce company in the animal health and nutrition industry, so we're looking for an animal lover to fill this role (bonus if you have horse experience).

This role will involve working with the Digital Marketing manager, support with marketing communications and content creation, with a heavy focus on organic social media.


You will work alongside other members of the production team, as well as the company directors so will have a strong insight into all areas of the business.


What this role requires:


  • Understanding of social media platforms
  • Facebook, Instagram, YouTube & Tik Tok.
  • Supporting the Marketing team to ensure content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager in creating, managing and implementing content marketing strategies.
  • Be a creative thinker, reviewing the latest trends across social channels and contribute content ideas based on what's trending i.e. Tik Tok, YouTube shorts & Instagram reels.
  • Confident and happy to be on camera in order to film content when required.
  • Manage a new initiative to nurture first time customers via unique marketing comms.
  • Ability to keep up to date with the industry trends (networking, researching, reading blogs, and other news / information sources).
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team.
  • Support the Group Marketing Manager and Managing Director to manage daytoday marketing administration.
  • All other tasks as required by the Head of Marketing and Digital Marketing Manager.

  • Desirable:_
Degree in a sales, marketing or business related field.

Google AdWords certified.

Experience in the e-commerce industry.

Design background or experience using Canva or Photoshop to generate creatives.


Necessary qualities:

Animal lover - Bonus if you have a horsey background or any equine experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Be passionate about delivering good work, open to new ideas and prepared to challenge constructively.

Strong initiative with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills (open, friendly, and supportive attitude).

Strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Keen attention to detail - including in literacy and grammar.

Ability to give and take constructive feedback.


Working relationships:

Reports to Head of Marketing and supports the Digital Marketing Manager

Works in conjunction with Production and Marketing Team

Advise Production/Leadership team on any customer pain points identified via social media
